Writers Scott Pack and Judith Robinson explore the globe by way of unexpected international literary gems.

This event is available to view as a recording until 13 June. Tickets can be purchased below.

Join writers Judith Robinson and Scott Pack as they travel the globe in search of great, but largely unsung, works of world literature. They will do their best to stop off at each continent where they will champion, discuss and recommend ten books, many of them in translation.

This will be a celebration of the power of the written word, no matter what the original language, and explore why every good library needs to represent literature from around the globe.

Judith Robinson programmed literature and music festivals and events for over 10 years, first as Programme Manager for the Cheltenham Literature Festival, then as Literature Advisor at the British Council, and most recently as Head of Programming for Bath Festivals. She is now a senior lecturer at Bath Spa University, teaching festival, event and arts management. Books have always been and remain her great passion, and she continues to chair and take part in literature events.

Scott Pack has spent more than two decades in the book world as editor, publisher and writer. Authors he has published include Dan Rhodes, Elinor Lipman, Brian Aldiss and Niven Govinden. He is one of the specialist subject question writers for BBC's Mastermind. His latest book is Tips From a Publisher, a guide for new and emerging authors.
